TYPE 3 SURVEY
Full access sampling and Identification survey (Pre-demolition/major refurbishment surveys)
This type of survey is conducted prior to major refurbishment or demolition of the building. This survey is the most thorough and involves the destructive sampling and inspection of all areas unless access cannot be gained for safety reasons. This type of survey does not assess the risk to occupants but gives an approximate area (or length in the case of pipe work) of asbestos materials to be removed prior to demolition, maintenance or refurbishment works.
